This online public meeting will be “open” from January 18, 2024, to February 5, 2024, for you to review the materials presented at an in-person meeting held January 18, 2024. All the information provided at the in-person meeting is included below. This site contains the preliminary design plans for two projects:

The Douglas Steet  will rebuild the roadway from Chipman Road to 2nd Street with improved sidewalks, storm sewers, street lighting, and a multi-use trail connecting downtown Lee’s Summit to Lea McKeighan Park near Chipman Road.

The Olive / Orchard Street and Drainage Improvement Project will mitigate flooding that occurs in the area, rebuild Olive Street, from Chipman Road south, and rebuild Orchard Street, from Olive Street to Douglas Street. Both Olive Street and Orchard Street will include new storm sewers and a sidewalk on one side of the road.
